This month's changes are about trust: in what the AI read off an invoice, in which units count as look-alikes, in what the listings check flags, and in where a vehicle lands on the lot map.
AI you can check
When you scan an invoice, AI reads the fields for you: the VIN, the model, the prices, the upfit lines. Now every value it read is shown to you before anything is saved, each one marked AI-read, and you can correct any of them. Nothing is saved until a person confirms it.
- Several invoices at once are reviewed one at a time. The countdown that moved on to the next invoice by itself is gone, and so is the button that added every invoice in one click.
- VIN received puts the invoice's values beside what the vehicle has on record now. A value that differs starts unchecked, and only the values you leave checked are saved.
- Reading the option list from an attached invoice opens it for review with Save and Discard, instead of saving it straight away.
- Upfit invoices show the cost and description the AI read, both editable. When the invoice updates an upfit item already on the vehicle, the item's cost now and the new cost are shown side by side.
The AI is sent the invoice you uploaded, or the VIN you typed in to decode. A request can also name the vehicle's VIN or stock number, so the right invoice is read in a file that holds several. Your customer list, notes, lot locations and activity history are not sent. If an invoice itself shows a person's name, that name is part of the document.
Market check, days' supply, Price Review, the listings check, battery rounds and carrying cost are calculated by fixed rules in our code, not by AI. Scanning a VIN barcode with your camera is read on your device.
Every request to the AI also passes a check on our server first. The person sending it must be an active member of a dealership, in a role that can use the AI features, or it is refused. The model is fixed on our side, and only the document and the instructions the app sends are passed on, within size limits.
Our AI provider is Anthropic. Its Commercial Terms of Service, effective June 17, 2025, say: "Anthropic may not train models on Customer Content from Services." We checked those terms on October 5, 2026. Our AI Use Policy has the details.
Sharper look-alikes
The market check counts the units you hold with the same spec. Three changes bring that count closer to how a buyer sees the units.
- The equipment package is now part of the exact spec, so a 600A and a 610A of the same build are no longer exact look-alikes. They still count as close look-alikes.
- A bare chassis is matched on cab-to-axle in the close comparison, so a 60" CA chassis is not weighed against a 120" CA chassis. A chassis with no CA on record is grouped with others that have none, never with a measured one.
- An F-350 is matched on its rear wheels, single (SRW) or dual (DRW). The app reads them from the invoice's model line first, then from the VIN code where that code is known to mean one or the other. When neither says, the unit is grouped with the other F-350s whose wheels are unknown. The vehicle's specs show the rear wheels and where they came from. Other models are built one way, so their groups are not split.
A listings check you can act on
The listings check now reads only the latest file from your listing provider. A VIN that dropped out of an earlier file is no longer reported as listed, and each flagged row shows when that VIN was first and last in the file.
A unit on an active hold is no longer flagged as missing from your listings. It is listed apart as on hold, with the customer and the date. When a hold is released, the unit gets the same three days a newly grounded unit gets before it is flagged. A hold that lapsed without being released is still flagged, with a note saying so, because only releasing a hold clears it.
Wi-Fi positions set aside
When a phone cannot get a GPS fix, it sometimes locates itself from a nearby Wi-Fi network, and then vehicles scanned there come back with the exact same position. The lot map and Geo Coverage now set those readings aside. A vehicle shows its newest good position instead. A vehicle with no good position on record gets no pin, and if its latest reading was a Wi-Fi position, Geo Coverage lists it as "Wi-Fi position, not used" and counts it as tried.
A position is recorded only when somebody audits or scans a vehicle with the app open, and what it records is where that vehicle was, not where a person went. Every pin still carries its accuracy circle. The circle is the point: it places a row, not a single vehicle, because vehicles stand 10 to 20 feet apart and no phone fix is that sharp.
On a phone or a tablet
- The list toolbar folds away as you scroll the results, on a phone, a tablet or a computer. Search, filters, columns, sort and the view switch tuck into one slim bar that shows your active filter count. Scroll back up, tap the bar or reach the top to open it again. On a keyboard, "/" opens it straight into search.
- The Table view has a PEP column, right after Code, on Ground and Orders. If you saved your own set of columns earlier, add it from Columns.
- The Table keeps its full height after you open and close Columns or Filters, instead of staying short until a reload.
